What You Want to Know About Our Privacy Policy

These questions cover the most common things people ask when they read the y01 privacy policy for the first time — from what data we actually hold to how you can get it removed. If your question is not here, the in-account Privacy form or our live chat will get you a direct answer.

We collect your name, email address, date of birth, phone number and the payment method details you choose to add — such as your UPI ID or Paytm number. We also log your IP address and device type at registration for security purposes.

We store a tokenised reference to your payment method, not the raw credentials. Full UPI or Paytm authentication is handled by the respective payment processor. We retain transaction records — amounts, dates, status — for the period required by law.

Yes. Log into your account, navigate to Settings, then Privacy, and submit a data export request. We compile your records and send them to your registered email within seven working days of receiving the request.

You can submit a deletion request through the in-account Privacy form or by emailing our privacy support address. We will delete or anonymise your data after verifying your identity, subject to any retention obligations under applicable Indian law.

No. We do not sell or rent your data to marketers. Data is shared only with processors needed to run your account — such as payment gateways for UPI and PhonePe transactions — and only to the extent those processors need it.

We use session cookies to keep you signed in and analytics cookies to see which parts of the platform are used most. You can manage or withdraw consent through the cookie panel in your account settings at any time.
